Dr. Juan G. Lopez received his undergraduate and dental degrees from New York University in New York. He performed his surgical residency training at Bellevue Medical Center at New York University, with further Training in Orthognathic Surgery at the same institution, and additional training overseas in reconstructive surgery, craniofacial surgery and implant dentistry. Dr. Lopez has been in private practice for more than 17 years and has served as an attending professor at Staten Island University Hospital In New York, Xaveriana University and Colombian School of medicine at Bogota Colombia S.A.
Dr. Lopez is a triple Diplomate of the American Society of Dental Anesthesiologists, American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial surgery, and American Board of Oral Implantology.
He has published several scientific papers in the international literature, and travels extensively to deliver presentations and lectures to both national and international professional audiences. Dr. Lopez has been involved with Healing the Children, an international organization devoted to bringing modern surgical technology to third world countries. He has been serving in the Middle East region for all the undeserved population and war casualties as well as worked for Saudi Aramco as an attending in Oral and Maxillofacial surgery and Chairman for the Cleft Palate clinic.
Although Dr. Lopez enjoys practicing the full scope of Oral and Maxillofacial surgery in his private practice, he has special interest in orthognathic surgery, surgical pathology and complex implant surgery, especially those involving bone reconstruction and grafting. ACLS, ATLS, and BLS trained, assures his patients that they will receive the highest standard of care not only in Surgery but also in Anesthesia.
He is involved extensively on the Teeth in an hour and in the-All-on Four concept using ConeBeam technology and virtual surgical imaging.
Dr. Lopez is member of numerous organizations national and international, included but not limited to American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial surgery, International Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, American Dental Association, Colombian Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, southeastern oral and maxillofacial society, and others.
Outside of his professional activities, Dr. Lopez enjoys his family, squash, water sports and golf.
