Ronald L. Katz, D.M.D.
Dr. Ronald Katz grew up locally in Coral Springs, Florida and completed his undergraduate training, earning a Bachelor’s degree of Biological Science at the Florida State University. He then earned his Doctorate of Dental Medicine at the prestigious Tufts University in Boston where he was awarded the Merritt Scholarship for academic excellence 4 years in a row. During his studies Dr. Katz was selected to study abroad at the University of Heidelberg in Germany together with Dr. Jennifer Statler. He then completed his surgical training in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery with residencies at Nova Southeastern University, the Broward General Medical Center, Hollywood Memorial/Joe Dimaggio Medical Center, as well as Baptist Hospital. Upon graduation, he was awarded the “Outstanding Service Award” by the North Broward Hospital District.
Dr. Katz is a board-certified Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He provides full scope adult and pediatric Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery services including: Orthognathic and Reconstructive Jaw Surgery, Wisdom teeth & Dentoalveolar Surgery, Intravenous Sedation and General Anesthesia, Dental Implants and bone grafting, Maxillofacial Trauma, Temporomandibular Joint Dysfunction, Oral & Maxillofacial Pathology, as well as Facial Cosmetic services including: Mole removal, Botox, dermal fillers like Juvederm and Restylane, and chemical peels, esthetic eyelid procedures.
Dr. Katz is also an adjunct Associate Professor of Surgery at Nova Southeastern University and the Broward General Medical Center, teaching the latest techniques in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery to residents.
He has an active license, in good standing, in the state of Florida and holds privileges to operate at Broward General Medical Center (Level One Trauma Center) and Wellington Regional Medical Center.
He is married to Dr. Scarlett C. Bustillo., a local dentist. They have two children, Aiden and Ethan.
